Open Knowledge International has organised regular events, such as OKCon and OKFestival, since 2005. The Open Knowledge Festival (known as OKFestival) is the biggest gathering of the open knowledge community and brings together people from around the world to share their skills and experiences; encouraging them to work together to build the very tools and partnerships that will further the power of openness as a positive force for change.
The 2012 OKFest edition brought together more than 1000 people from 50 countries to Helsinki, Finland whilst OKFest 2014 saw similar numbers in Berlin. The last edition of OKCon was organised in 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The next Open Knowledge event will be OKFestival 2018, which will be held from 3-6 May in Thessaloniki, Greece. Please keep an eye on the OK Festival website and social media for more information as it is released.
