The leader of the YouthMappers chapter in Rwanda. Experienced in GIS applied in climatology. She is running initiatives for Women involvement in the use of technology, access to data for women and girls.
Ernest Uwayezu is a researcher at the University of Rwanda (UR) in the Centre for Geographic information Systems and Remote Sensing (CGIS-UR) since 2008. He holds a Bachelor degree in Physical and Human Geography from the University of Rwanda and a Master of Science degree in Land Administration and Management, from the University of Twente, the faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, in the Netherlands. He also works as a Lecturer at the Department of Geography, School of Architecture and Built Environment, College of Science and Technology, of the University of Rwanda.
From October 2016, he is a PhD Candidate at the Technische Universität München (TUM), the Chair of land Management, in Germany. His Doctoral research focuses on urban land governance and spatial justice. He has also been interested in carrying out research on Geo-information dissemination, land tenure security, land policy, womens rights to land, management of conflicts related to land ownership.
Is spatial data analyst, experienced project officer with working history in GIS, Remote Sensing and IT services. Esaie is a consultant in Spatial Data and Software for Geospatial data analysis. Skilled in PostGIS, Geoserver, Leaflet and OpenLayers, Python and R for data sciences and has experience in developing GIS system and WEB-GIS applications for SDI. He has a strong program and project management professionalism. His researches and publications concern applications of geospatial technologies in agriculture and natural resources management. He is also very interested in open spatial data for all.
He is the founder of GIS Systems and Technologies (GIS ST). He has worked with NGOs as environmentalist and GIS professional and as Land management and land administration professional.
Is a professional Land Administrator and Manager with experience in Environmental services and Land and water and food systems. He has worked with NGOs and is a practitioner in Spatial Justice: Applied Spatial data in Land Governance for developing countries. He is professional in project management and in Monitoring and Evaluation.
