The Local Group in Spain was part of the Open Knowledge Foundation network since 2012, and was active in a number of cities across Spain. The community are carried out a range of activities, such as data expeditions, data journalism events, and meetups.

Consultant in information management , data visualization, innovation , knowledge management and learning. I am a teacher for Open University of Catalonia UOC and UNIR Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. Cocreator of COTalent platform focused on sharing contacts and knowledge to boost certain professional , educational and business communities.

I'm passionate about the co - creation of new knowledge and synergies of the network community I speak fluent Catalan, Spanish, English and basic German.

Mayo Fuster Morell

Mayo Fuster Morell is board member of the Open Knowledge Spanish Chapter (since the first board elections of 2012). She was also advocacy board of the Open Knowledge Festival 2012. The Open Knowledge Spanish Chapter is composed of more than 200 subscribed members, celebrates an annual Open Knowledge Award and is very active, particularly on open government (such as with the campaign data census), open universities and collaborative production, and the fields of data journalism with an annual conference among others. Additionally, Fuster Morell has a PhD on governance of digital commons, directs a research group on Internet, policy and commons at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is fellow at the Berkman center on Internet and society (Harvard University). She coordinates the research of the European project “Techno-social platform for sustainable models and value generation in commons-based peer production”, developing among others, a directory of collaborative production in collaboration with Open Knowledge – Spain.
