Niels Erik Kaaber Rasmussen is educated within state science and computer science, and is focused on the spreading of open knowledge. He is particularly curious towards political data and work to open central political data, so that they become available, comprehensible and relevant for the general public. He has among other launched the Danish site hvemstemmerhvad.dk ("who votes what" in English).
Key group member
Christian is the International Community Manager for the Open Knowledge global network and additionally volunteers with the Danish Open Knowledge Local Group. He has a background in media and culture entrepreneurship, community creation and hacktivism - and is a dedicated open-everything advocate. On the side he is a member of the Science Friction art & technology collective and runs a few smaller projects including Uhrlaut Records, a boutique record label for challenging electronic music from Scandinavia.
Ove Larsen work as project manager. Loves Open Source, Open Web, Open Access and Open Content. Volunteer in a small NGO that recycles corporate discarded computers for educational projects using Linux/Open Source and Open Educational material, in project in Malawi, Africa.
Activities of the Danish Local Group comprise organizing local events, data sprints, meetups and workshops around themes focused on open government and open content. They also try to influence media debate by blogging and speaking in public at events around the country. The group is still relatively small but growing and is trying off different ways to engage in the existing communities around open data, open government and open knowledge in general.
