After a few years dormant, the Open Knowledge Austria chapter started anew in 2026. Their priorities are to make open data easier to use, connect people who can learn from one another, and explore how open tools can support public understanding.

Director of Open Knowledge Austria

Daniel Dobriy's role brings together the initiative’s direction, collaborations and practical work on making knowledge accessible and useful.

His research connects semantic technologies with AI. He is a co-author of Agentic SPARQL and an organiser of the Symbolic and Generative AI for Science workshop. These interests link questions about open knowledge with the tools and evidence that AI systems use.
