Ebenezer Calist Mlay is a passionate advocate for open knowledge, digital literacy, and community development. As the founder and director of Open Knowledge Tanzania, Ebenezer has spearheaded initiatives to promote access to free knowledge and digital empowerment across Tanzania. In 2019, he established Wikimedia Arusha, a thriving community of volunteers contributing to Wikimedia projects, with a focus on bridging knowledge gaps and encouraging youth engagement.
With a strong commitment to knowledge sharing and digital inclusion, Ebenezer continues to lead efforts that connect local communities to global open knowledge movements, driving impact through collaboration and innovation.
Justine Msechu passionately advocates for open-source technology, digital literacy, and sustainability. As a Co-Founder of the Wikimedia Community Kilimanjaro and the Youth Tech Organization, he empowers communities through knowledge sharing and practical tech education. His work promotes digital literacy, open-source content creation, and cybersecurity awareness, with a special emphasis on engaging youth and fostering community development.
Justine serves as an Administrator for Swahili Wikipedia, actively contributing to expanding free knowledge in local languages. He has also been a dedicated volunteer editor with the Wikimedia Foundation since 2021. In addition, he holds a key role as a Training Officer and Logistic Manager at Reneal International Education Outreach, where he supports schools by developing low-cost computer systems and providing technology training to students and teachers.
With a strong background in Information Technology, Biomedical Technology, and Computer Science, Justine is committed to driving positive change through education and technology. His efforts aim to inspire the next generation of leaders and create a sustainable future for all.
