Why become data literate?

Openness and data literacy are important for several reasons, and it has become mission-critical for institutions in today’s data-driven world. With a data literate team you will be able to make informed decisions, increased efficiency and productivity, innovate and grow, and enhance collaboration with your partners.

Step by Step

Typically, designing a training programme for an organisation is a 5-stage project that we will follow closely:

  1. Know the data you already have and define a strategy to know which tools and knowledge are appropriate to extract value from it.
  2. Know about your team to choose the training strategy.
  3. Define the duration of the training and the evaluation method.
  4. Carry out the training.
  5. Make a final evaluation of the trainees and deliver the results.

Examples of Past Works

Every case is different and we will make sure that we take into account all your specific literacy needs. But in general terms, if you choose this service, you will have a training similar to those offered to these previous clients.

One of Open Knowledge's principles is sustainability, so we will never make you dependent on us. We want to ensure that you and your team are able to manage data in the way that most benefits your organisation and society at large. For this reason, we suggest that you combine this service with the following offers.

Why Us?

Open Knowledge Foundation (OKFN) is the world’s ultimate reference in open digital infrastructures and the hub of the open movement. As a global not-for-profit, we have been establishing and advocating for institutions to adopt openness as a design principle for the last 20 years.

School of Data is a global network maintained by OKFN with a commitment to advancing data literacy in civil society. We seek to address the data skills gaps in order to amplify the messages of civil society through the use of data.

This is a standardised and simplified example of the services we provide. The final scope of the project will be customised to varying degrees to suit your needs. Get in touch with our team and we'll be happy to offer you a personalised quote. Latest update:
